My wardrobe has always been a reflection of who I am—someone who prioritizes comfort, loves the classics, wants to feel confident and stylish, and isn’t afraid to have a little fun. When I lost my home in the Palisades fire, along with everything inside, I found myself asking what I truly needed to feel grounded again—and, eventually, to feel like myself again.
Getting dressed each morning is a ritual I definitely took for granted. Mix and matching, trying on this pair of jeans or that one, realizing “no, these shoes aren’t right,” only to rediscover the perfect pair I’d forgotten I had in the back of my closet—those small moments brought me joy and pride (after all, it’s a big part of my job). I worked hard to get my closet to a place where getting dressed felt (mostly!) easy and fun. I’m looking forward to the day I can feel that way again. But for now, it’s all about taking small steps, rebuilding the basics, and slowly making my way back—so that one day soon, I can spread my wings and fly!
What I’m sharing today are the first things I replaced: a collection of everyday staples I can wear around Los Angeles (and now, Newport!) and take with me to New York and Florida at the end of the month. Soft white tees, classic denim, cozy sweaters, and shoes that let me continue putting one foot comfortably in front of the other.
So, here are my tried-and-true wardrobe essentials—pieces so nice, I bought them twice. Let’s dive in.
