I’m thrilled to be partnering with Banana Republic for this week’s Substack! Their latest summer collection is full of polished, packable pieces that work beautifully for just about any getaway—whether you’re heading to the East Coast, hopping over to Europe, hitting the beach, or chasing the mountain air. I’ve styled looks for five quintessential summer destinations, Nantucket, Paris, Formentera, Cabo and Montana, to help make your packing a little easier.
Nautical in Nantucket
Nantucket is peak New England summer. Lobster rolls, sailboats and coastal prints. If you’re planning a trip there, BR has you covered with these beachy pieces. These looks are all about leaning into preppy coastal energy, while keeping it casual. This navy paisley dress is was made to be worn on a boat, and this blue raffia bag is not only seaworthy, but also packable. I love the knit striped tank and beige linen shorts combo to throw on after the beach—effortlessly put together. Tie it all together with these tortoise shell Le Specs sunnies. Happy beaching!
Parisian Play
If you’re lucky enough to be Paris-bound this summer, first of all, I’m jealous, and second, please enjoy the park fashion for me (see my Euro recap for more).
These looks will have you blending right in with the impeccable Paris fashion. These two dresses, white embroidered and black linen eyelet, are lightweight for packing and will work for every activity. Pair with these black strappy kitten heeled sandals and a chic pair of sunnies, and top it off with this mini bamboo raffia tote . Très chic.
Formentera Fun
Formentera is all about full OOO-reply is on energy. Throw your phone in your beach bag and don’t check it till dinner (Pretty sure this is a pre-kid luxury—but if you’re still living that live, enjoy!)
If you’ve been following along, you know I live for a good throw-and-go moment. This red eyelet set (top and bottom) is that moment. I works over a swimsuit, or dressed up with some jewelry and sandals. I was so excited to see that BR carries Hunza G, one of my favorite swimwear brands. If you haven’t tried yet, trust me—super flattering and they last forever. I’d wear this one piece layered under this white crochet cover up for a beach day in Formentera. Throw these brown leather sandals in your suitcase and wear with everything, and back this bangle set to jazz up any outfit!
Camp Cabo
While the kids are at camp, take yourself to camp. I’m picturing these looks accompanied by a little party, a lot of beach and probably a few too many spicy margs.
This red and white shell print set ( top and bottom) is reminding me of one of my favorite Cabo restaurants, Flora Farms, and the perfect outfit to go from dinner to a night out. I spotted these K. Jacques yellow sandals on BR’s site—the perfect pop of color. For beach days, I’d pair a Hunza G bikini with easy white linen pants and toss on a big sun hat , essential for both sun protection and tequila recovery. Add this gold pendant necklace for some sparkle. For more Cabo inspo, check out What I Wore in Cabo from my trip in March!
Montana Moment
There’s something magical about summer out west. I’m craving a boat day out on the lake, surrounded by mountains, sandwiched by cool mornings and nights. Goodbye to humidity and frizzy hair (Can you tell I was just in NYC and scarred by the heat?!)
For a chill lakeside dinner, I’d go with this white linen sweater and easy cotton drawstring pants, comfortable, but still put together. Add this Hat Attack raffia bag and these adorable fisherman sandals.
This oversized denim shirt will be the MVP of your suitcase, and nails the summer mountain vibe.
I had so much fun curating these vacation looks, and I hope they spark some inspiration for your next summer trip, whether it’s booked or still in the daydream stage. Tell me which looks are your favs in the comments!
Huge thank you to the BR team for partnering with me on this, and for making summer packing so easy.
Happy travels!
