Ben and I have been trying to stick to a weekly date night, which has been such a fun way to explore more of LA. Lately I’ve been getting a lot of questions about where we go and what I wear, so I thought I’d put it all in one place. Some of these outfits are still summer-friendly, others are great as we start moving into fall, and all of them are easy, no-fuss favorites. Think of it as my little guide to date night spots and the outfits to match. Let’s get into it.

RVR – Venice

Staring with one of our favorite spots, right on Abbot Kinney. It’s perfect for date night. Get there a little early, browse a few shops (hi American vintage across the street), and don’t skip Salt & Straw for the best ice cream after dinner. I’d wear my dark wash Frame jeans (you might remember them from my jeans + white tee post), and a cute top like this one from Sézane, and either a sleek sneaker or a kitten heel. Grab a summery clutch and you’re set.

Menu highlights: the rock fish tempura hand roll and black cod.

All Time – Los Feliz

All Time has that effortlessly cool, low-key vibe (very on brand for Los Feliz), and you can really wear whatever the heck you want. I would aim for a casual cool girl vibe, with one of my favorite pairs of jeans, this top from Faithfull the Brand, a comfy ballet flat, this adorable suede bucket bag and an understated accessory . This outfit is perfect for fall too, if you’re already mentally shopping for next season like I am (more on fall fashion coming soon!)

Menu highlights: the good ass salad and Betsy’s cobbler for dessert.
